You were promised an update and images from Martha’s annual painting retreat in the Texas Hill Country. The ten days of uninterrupted studio time was well-spent, with many new panels and canvases in oil and acrylic as results.
Martha worked in oil and cold wax on 2″ cradled panels in her Canyon Walls Series, “Traces of Time”.

Martha is preparing for her annual painting trip to the Hill Country Arts Foundation in Ingram, TX. There she will work on large abstract acrylics and small oil and cold wax panels. It is always a time of intense creativity and productive painting!!!! Watch for new work to be posted soon!

Martha Rea Baker has shipped three new large-scale abstracts to Brown’s fine Art in Jackson, MS. According to Joel Brown and Allison Brown Simmons “the waiting list for Baker’s work continues to grow”. The new work has a soft light palette with compositions that work either in vertical or horizontal orientations. We have posted the new work below.
