HOT off the easel—Martha has recently completed a new encaustic diptych, continuing to work with the silver metallic wax and influenced by the turquoise of the sky and the famous gemstones of the area. Other cultures believe turquoise, one of the loveliest of gemstones, possesses protective powers.”
